Is the Essential 360 degree camera capable of operating on its own? It looks as if it might have to be attached to something. Also, is it possible to use it in non 360 degree mode? Can it handle videos as well as stills?
The 360 'snaps' to the top back of the phone, where the little magnets are and cannot operated on it's own. Not sure what it can do or not do other than that. I figured I didn't need so didn't pick one up.
I've actually found Reddit to be a decent source of info, there is an essential subreddit with a lot of folks contributing.
Ok, since it's useless on its own, what's a good, cheap camera that can be plugged into a pc and the images downloaded from it? When I say cheap, I mean probably less than a hundred dollars. Would it have to be as part of a phone or could it be separate?
The phone camera actually isn't very good and anyway the phone is falling apart, which shows something for $27 isn't always a bargain. At the moment I can't really afford another phone, at least not a decent one, and tha's why I'm hoping for a cheap camera. Could i get one at Best Buy or something that way?
