Root ETA for rooting the MDT2?

Does anyone know how close the Motorola Droid Turbo 2 is to being rooted? I'm not even concerned about unlocking the boot loader. For now, just basic root to install Adblock and restore apps from Titanium Backup will do. TIA.

I would be interested as well, but i thought that the bootloader had to be unlocked in order to achieve root?
