euros -> USD

I'm noticing quite a few apps in the market with a list price in euros... I cant ssem to buy any of them as the market tells me i have an invalid credit card on file (but i can buy ones listed in USD) Is there any way for the market to automatically convert these to USD... 1) so i can buy them 2) so i know how much they are with out using a coversion.

This is interesting to say the least. Anytime I've bought something online with a credit card (I live in the states as well $USD currency) that was listed in something other than USD, the site would convert the rate on the spot and charge my card the USD equivalent based on either the day's official exchange rate or the up to the minute rate.

Interesting how Google has not implemented this. Or, so it seems. I have yet to purchase anything listed in Euros so I can't speak from experience.

Anyone else have this issue...?

GDA is listed in Euros - I am going to try to buy it here in a few minutes....

I'll post back.

citicards will convert it for you on the current market rate, and then charge you a small conversion fee (10 cents for a $2) purchase.-- im sure if you dig around you CC site, you will see a conversion rate.

I am not sure how debit cards would work, you would need to check with your bank. I am also not sure if google has a built in converting app for their market place (since everything goes through google checkout)

would be nice of them to use all the same currency.

Google has an issue with Amex and Discover. For non US dollar purchases you have to use Visa or MC. It is clearly a Google Checkout issue, as the authorization goes thru to Discover fine, they just dont complete the transaction.

i'm in the u.s and every time i've paid for something listed in euros, the USD conversion is given, never had a problem. i use a visa debit card

This expains it since I'm using discover. Now the? Is when will Google fix it

So that is why it keeps telling me invalid card when I try to buy GDE. (Amex).

Too bad AM doesn't support Paypal....

And too bad for devs using foreign currency (until this is resolved) - b/c I am not opening another CC just for these apps. Google has dropped the ball on this one.
