I am brand new to the Android OS and community. I came across a strange issue while adding music to my new S4. I have a series of compilation albums that were not released on any label, but were compiled by a blogger. Each compilation is tagged by the album name or compilation name. The album artist field is "Various Artists". The only thing that changes on a per song basis is the song title, artist, and album art. Now, I know the album art generally would be the same throughout. However, I chose to add the original album art for each song as kind of a historical/visual reference. I have had no problems with this format on my laptop media player.
When I add any of these compilation albums, it recognizes everything perfectly except the album art. It chooses the album art for track one and uses that for the rest of the songs. I have gone over the tagging on these multiple times to ensure that they were uniform. I have tried 4-5 different mp3 player apps, and still the same result. Does Android just assume that the album art for track one is the designated album art for the whole album? Is it preventing multiple images to save space? Is there a fix or player that can pull this off? Thanks for your time, and sorry for being long-winded.
