I would like to continue our discussion about rooting and everything else for the Huawei Ascend Mate. Like I asked in the other thread, how can we update the Mate to Jellybean 4.2, its new enough and powerful enough, any ideas.

I currently am using the Ascend Mate in the USA on the AT&T network, everything works fine EXCEPT being able to receive or send images thru text. Are there any users that are in the US that have the same problem, or if you don't, what network are you using? I have tried MANY different APN settings and nothing has worked so far. Any help in this matter would be really appreciated.

You have to delete a part from your apn. Make sure your apn type is blank.
Im dome with Huawei acend Mate. Bye bye Mate, hello Galaxy Mega. I love the Mega already
I have just seen your post now. I am moving from S4 ( although excellent one) to a bigger screen and I was checking the mate 1 and the galaxy Mega 6.3 . I y seems you wud advise for the Mega and not the Mate. I heard also that the Mate does not work in LS mode.
Since u had both, can you help by pointing some of the adv of the Mega over the mate, although the Mate 1 should be faster !!
