Evo 3D Broke back to Hero

So my Evo3d broke yesterday (screen went black) I called sprint and wanted to get an early upgrade, my contract ends in 15 days. They wanted to charge me $50.00 bucks to upgrade early, with only 15 days left on my contract I decided to activate my old Hero.
Now here is my question

I really like the size of the Hero and was wondering what phone (in 15 days) I should get? Dont really want the size of the S3 or S4 but want the performance

Unfortunately, size is accompanying performance, just like with the larger 3D over the Hero.

The HTCs - Evo 4G LTE from last year and the One - are pretty good.

Not questioning your size decision at all, just pointing out that shape and weight can make a difference in your hand.

I own the 3D and the Evo LTE. While the LTEvo is bigger (wider and taller), it's thinner and weighs less, so for me, it comes down more to a grip difference than a pocket-able one.

If you haven't had a chance to hold the various Sammies and HTCs, maybe that will help sway you.

If you have, then not sure what help I have, sorry.

FWIW - they're giving away the SGS3 and the LTEvo for free, just to have you use your upgrade and keep you for another two years (unless I read that offer incorrectly ).
