Evo 4g is dead Help Me Pick New Sprint Phone

I have a sprint evo 4g, it is toast, but I am eligable for an upgrade! I currently am stuck using my old blackberry curve :( Anyways, I can get the Samsung Galaxy S3 for 199 I believe. Or I can wait a month or so until the HTC one comes out, or the Galaxy S4? I spoke to Sprint last night, and they cannot give m official release dates on either phone,or a upgrade price for the pone when it comes out. I am dying without my smart phone! Should I tough it out and wait until one of these phones come out? Or should I just upgrade to the Galaxy S3 now? I just don't know if I should pay 199 for the S3 now, then a month from now when the S4 comes out the S3 I just bought drops in price, and is outdated. Any suggestions on what to do? Also the HTC one seems awesome, but it won't have a removable memory card or battery? Thanks

Hi volumebikertom. :)

Welcome aboard.
Have you seen the HTC ONE? This would be an awesome device to upgrade to...in my opinion.

HTC one seems awesome, but it won't have a removable memory card or battery?
I had the same thinking before I got the HTC EVO 4G LTE ... then after gettin it, I found out that a removable battery wasn't the worst you could find on a smartphone. 16 or 32gb of internal storage seems about okay.

The pros far outweighs the cons on these awesome devices.

Plus, you'll have the "ONE." <>

Personally, I'd wait it out. The One will be out soon, plus all the other devices. ;)

Either grin and bear it with the BB, or hit up craigslist and see if there are any phones available for cheap in your area.

Thanks for the welcome! And yea, I think I will tough it out. Any idea if the HTC one or S4 will be a 199 phone with upgrade?
I would think that the price for the 16gb will be $199 ...and the 32gb will be a little higher. Personally, I don't care because I will just use my 32gb I already have.

This is a win win situation. ;)

Wait for all the new phones to come out.At that time, you'll have all the options @ hand.Assuming you want a flagship-quiality phone, that leaves you w/seven ANDROID phones to choose from:

GALAXY S3/EVOLTE/OPTIMUS G/GALAXY NEXUS = Bargain pricing
GALAXYS4/HTC ONE/NOTE2 = Latest & Greatest @ $199+ on-contract

If you're selecting from the bargain category, take your pick, they're all good.

The newer category,I'd pick between the HTC ONE & the NOTE2.Reason I'd skip the S4 is,IMHO,it doesn't offer enough of an upgrade over the S3 to justify spending the extra $.

With that said,If you actually plan on keeping the phone for the entire 2YR term,I'd select from the newest phone category.Otherwise, save some money & pick from the bargain group.

Either way,I don't think there's a bad phone in the bunch.

I agree with kolio.
The One and Note 2 are the better options in my opinion.
Or if you want to save a little bit of money, you can wait until the S4 comes out and buy an S3 when the price goes down. But that could take a few months.

I couldn't stand waiting anymore, I went with the Samsung Galaxy S3, I got really lucky, because when I went down to best buy the price had actually dropped down to 99 dollars with my upgrade that day. Glad I waited a couple days, it ended up saving me 100 bucks.

Awesome! Welcome to the S3 club. :)
