Help Exchange - Galaxy S3 Contacts

Just purchased one Samsung Galaxy S3 phone to see if it works better than a Blackberry (BB) in our corporate environment.

We have the Exchange ActiveSync working WONDERFULLY with the Calendar and Email. The issue comes with the Contacts.

The contacts - sometimes the contacts on the phone respond very slowly (a few minutes to return any contacts), other times it is totally what I would consider “normal”. Often when the contacts are displayed and I scroll to the bottom it says “Displaying 30 contacts” I can't scroll past those 30, the letters on the right that would let me jump to a spot in the phone book does not work. If I leave the contacts open for a while I receive an error “Contacts is not responding. Would you like to close it? Wait or OK” I always have to OK.

I just tried to use Kies Air and it appears to work exactly the same as the Outlook Exchange Contacts sync.

I really don't want to go to a BlackBerry for several reasons but at least with the BB the contacts worked and that is huge.

The last thing I can add is that both the S3 and BB say the contact limit is 1,000. I am sure I have approximately 3,000 contacts but it has never been an issue with the BB.

The last comment I have is when I entered my name as a search in contacts (in Outlook 2007 or on the phone) and my record is returned but so are 137 other records. My name appears in the other records in the notes field (entered in Outlook) that is because when I make a change I enter my name so we know who made the change.

Thank you for any thoughts and consideration to this issue.
