We have CRM, Rollup 15. Just purchased one Samsung Galaxy S3 phone to see if it works better than a Blackberry.
I have the Exchange ActiveSync working wonderfully with the Calendar and Email. The issue comes with the Contacts.
I entered my name as a search in contacts (in Outlook 2007 or on the phone) and my record is returned but so are 137 other records. My name appears in the other records in the notes field (entered in CRM which syncs to Outlook). I make a change and put in my name so we know who made the change.
Basically in Outlook I need to use the drop down for more search options and use the Full Name field and then Outlook works correctly, I am the only person returned.
So my question is - is there a way to change the default search for Contacts in either the Samsung S3 Phone, Outlook 2007 or Exchange to be the Full Name field? If I can in Exchange or Outlook I think this might carry over to the phone, at least that is my hope.
The one other thing I can add is that sometimes the contacts on the phone respond very slowly (a few minutes to return any contacts), other times it is totally what I would consider "normal".
I have not tried connecting the phone to the computer and updating the contacts directly from Outlook because we really want/need the active sync. I really don't want to go to a BlackBerry for several reasons but at least with the BB the contacts worked.
