Exchange policy on faulty phone?

I've had my Optimus M for well over a year. Lately I've had issues like the browser randomly crashing/force closing, SMS/mms being delayed and then receiving them all at once the next day, an annoying pop up every time I get a voicemail ...etc.

If I take it it, what will happen? The phone has been EOL for some time now. I've heard metro gives you a phone "of equal or lesser value", but how do they determine the value of an obsolete phone?

Can anyone tell me a) their exact refund policy, b) am I still able to receive a different phone after all this time and c) if so what phone would I be likely to get?

Thanks!

I'm pretty sure that they won't exchange it after a year. After a year since purchase they will not help you out in any way

Even if it was still in the warranty period, if it's rooted with a custom ROM as you indicate in your profile they wouldn't touch it anyway.
The problems you are describing don't sound like a bad phone, it may be related to one or more apps (malicious or causing crashes). Try removing any recently installed apps, if that doesn't help the next step is to do a full reset on the phone. You may need to restore the stock ROM to see if that fixes it.

under the 1 year warranty, being that youve had the phone for over a year. theres nothing metro will do. if you have insurance and the phone is no longer available they send you a different phone, in this case based on the value of the phone on the purchased date you might receive the optimus M+...
i had the POS indulge and then got bumped to the attain....

yeah unless you have insurance you really are SOL as having the phone over a year means the 1 year manufacturer warranty has expired and metro's money back guarantee period has long expired.

I think that it is agreed that the standard warranty period has expired. There is a shot in the dark though. By any chance did you purchase it with a credit card that offers automatic extended warranties? Usually that is offered at the platinum or above level.
