I never thought I'd get excited about a user-replaceable battery and a microSD slot in an Android phone, but given the horrible trend toward eliminating any expansion possibilities (*cough* HTC One *cough*), not to mention limited internal storage (*ahem* G. Nexus), I am bursting with joy. 64 gigs internal + 64 gigs additional = useful.
The large display doesn't actually float my boat that much; I've gotten used to an iPad and a Kindle Fire, so tend not to do lots of reading/gaming anymore on the phone. In fact, if Sammy came out with a Galaxy S 2.5 with a smaller (i.e. less expensive and battery-sucking display) I'd be quite interested. Still, it is in the category of nice-to-have.
I'm planning to wait about six months, then shop around on the refurbished market. My first smartphone was a Nexus One. Would have totally gone for a Galaxy Nexus, had Google not limited the memory. Them's the breaks.
