Extend Bluetooth range for truckers

Anybody know how to extend the range between a phone and Bluetooth headset? I would like to be able to leave my phone in my truck and be able to go outside and work with only my headset. I'm looking at a range of a couple hundred feet if possible. Any advice would be helpful thanks.

Have you tired having the phone in a window of your truck that is in the line-of-sight?

Yeah I tried that today and it helped but still looking for a way to get more range.

Is there perhaps a hardware signal extender that can operate from a truck?
