Extend tab 2 charging cable

Hi there,

I have a Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 and I need the charging cable to be longer, so I was just wondering, can I just use a USB extension cable inline with the OEM Samsung cable and wall plug and still have the same rate of charge?

Hard to tell. Typically they sell usb extension cables for PC usb use, so we are talking about thin wires designed for 500mA current. So when you are searching for extension cables, make sure to ask for AWG rating which should be about 24AWG (to handle max 3.5A of current).
