Android Question

Since the last upgrade, my android no longer comes through a pair of previously working beautifully speakers. I was told by my son that it was an upgrade bad. Headphones work, some sound comes out of the speakers, but it is very low and cannot adjust. How can I fix this?

What kind of Android device are you using?

Are the speakers part of the device itself, or are the speakers a separate unit from the device? If it is a separate unit, how do you connect the speakers to the device?

Welcome to the community!

It is an Android 7; 4.0.4 version model c92d. The speakers plug in like the headset, not sure of the brand, but they worked great! Then we moved and when we booted back up it apparently did an upgrade and the speakers no longer work.

Check the volume output settings in your phone's menu (Settings-->Sound-->Volume). Sometimes the software upgrades will reset all of the standard settings back to default or to zero in the case of volume.

Glad to see you signed up with us!

Did you install an upgrade from the provider, or did you/your son install a custom ROM onto your device?

We assume it automatically installed the update when we rebooted at our new home. It is Wifi only. I do not have a hard wire to connect to the computer. I purchased it online in December from what looked like a usa site, but unfortunatly it came from China and I do not have anyone to contact about it.
