external usb keyboard

Hi,
Have been using an external keyboard with my android tablet and now when I unplug the keyboard get an annoying popup keyboard when surfing the internet or using facebook that I cant seem to disable, have tried the suggestion for null key and anysoft keyboard all with no change, has anyone got any siggestions for this annoying feature?

Do you un-mount the USB keyboard before unplugging in Settings, Storage, USB storage ...?

The tablet mounts the USB keyboard in the same way as an USB thumb drive, as USB host via USB OTG cable.

So you have to un-mount your keyboard every time when you'll unplugged it ... like a USB thumb drive :)

Couldn't you use a Bluetooth keyboard?

Re: Powered USB hubs, can you get a battery powered hub? Say one that can run off half a dozen AA or AAA rechargeables. 6000mAH of NimH cells should keep it going for quite a while
