Externt SD card

I have a GalaxyS GT I9000b and have installed a 32GB SDcard in it.
I dont know how to download to the card from the computer or transfer
data from the other memory in the phone to the SDcard.
Is it really so simple that you put the SDcard in the computers cardreader and fill it up with what I want to download. After replacing it in the hone how do I find the SDcard to listen to it. Can I use Kies in some way?
Other question is: does I have to buy a 3Gchip to use the 3G? Or are ther some App for this.
I am old almost 72 years so maybee thats why I make this questions but it is not covered in the owners manual.

Read the following thread for detailed instructions on how to connect your phone to your computer and transfer files.

Yes you have 3G in your phone.

1. Turn on your phone
2. Make sure airplane mode is not activated
3. Go to: Settings/Wireless Networks/Mobile Networks/Network mode/
and select GSM/WCDMA
This will allow you to use 3G networks automatically.
