extra tether charge?

does anybody know if you tether with you phone to computer,will verizon charge extra for anything. someone on another thread said that they might but i never heard anybody say they were charged extra for it?

Officially you are supposed to pay for tethering at either $30 or $20 depending on your data plan. Unofficially if you do not go batcrap insane with your usage you should be fine though Verizon reserves the right to charge you if they find you which if you keep it somewhat low most likely wont happen.

You can usually get away with tethering on phones that do not support it (at least on Verizon's standpoint). I did it on my OMNIA once and they charged me 40 bucks in data.

thats was 40 bucks on top of the 30 bucks for data?? wtf? so should bre ok on eris as long as i dont get crazy?
