Extracting the factory reset image for future reset.

Hey guys, i've been having serious ghost touch problems on my device, I even posted a question about it but obviously noone knows how to solve it because i havn't recieved an answer about it yet.
Not being able to solve the problem i'm thinking of changing my OS but just to be safe i wanted to extract the factory OS (The one that gets installed when you Hard Reset the phone) so that incase something went wrong i could always go back to Android.
I've searched for the image online but couldn't find anything so i'm guessing the onlyway to restore everything later would be to save the Factory image) Is there anyway to do this?
Thanks!

1) Nothing gets installed no matter how you reset the phone. If you mean Factory Reset, all that does is remove anything you've done since you first turned the phone on (including putting in your email address, etc.)

2) To tell you where to find an image of the phone, we'd need the make and model NUMBER (not name - there are usually many models under the same name) of the phone.
