Extremely low internet performance

Hello everybody,

I'm new to the forum and as well to the android platform, as I've bought my Samsung Galaxy S3 only a week ago. The last 2 years I used a good old Nokia C5-00.

I must say that I'm thrilled about the new phone, but having said that, there are two problems and I would really need your advice:

1. Battery life. I got 9-10 hours for the first few days out of it. Yesterday I installed Juice Defender so I hope I solved this one.

2. Internet connection (my phone company is Orange)
I don't even want to start about wi-fi, 'cause I cant get a good connection to save my life.
But what bothers me is even when I'm on 3G+ (it switches all the time between 3G+ and H+), I cant acces the internet 50% of the time. At work it doesn't connect when I'm at my desk, at home it doesn't connect when I'm in the bathroom, etc. I don't understand why it says I'm on 3G+/H+'on the banner if it doesn't work.

I don't have any problems making phone calls, so I really don't get it...

Thank you in advance...

(it switches all the time between 3G+ and H+) thats probably your problem there. for the battery too.

you are getting intermittent connection. this is causing you to lose data as it switches back and forth. try looking into disabling the H+ so it doesnt try switching.

the constant looking for H+ signal/ switching back and fourth can murder batteries.

the data is different than your phone calls use, so thats why the calls are fine.
