facebook contacts sync

i have a sony ericsson xperia arc. the contacts synced perfectly with facebook originally but i updated my software to 2.3.4 and i tried syncing the contacts again and now i have all my contacts but no pictures. anyone have any ideas on why this is? i read through some posts already and have everything syncing in setting and in accounts and sync and on the facebook app. i have tried logging out and back in but that changes nothing

i've had it connected to my wi fi for 12 hours now and not a single picture has shown up
