facebook keeps going back to the top

i have an issue with the galaxie s8 plus from verizon. when trying to view facebook, as i scroll down and stop to read a post, in the midde of reading it it jumps back to the top. is this normal or is there a setting for this?
it is so irritating to have to constantly scroll down over and over.

Nope. Nothing unusual from Facebook.
They update the app every week with fixes that never work or breaks other things.
So, chalk it up as normal...
