Facebook killing battery?

My battery on my Moto G KitKat and Nexus 7 2013 lollipop are draining unusually quickly. The culprit appears to be Facebook. Updated to Version 27.0.0.24.15 a few days ago. Since then I have to force stop it just to keep the battery.
