facebook messenger lite loads messages slow and pictures/voice take even longer 15+ minutes

i have 2 phones both with messenger lite i had to start using an old phone as the newer one almost refuses to send or receive pictures and voice messages it will do it but takes forever 10 minutes being the minimum no matter the file size. its the same whether over data or wifi. both phones have messenger lite but the older phone sends and receives things almost instantly.

is my phone just complete crap or would there possibly be a way to fix/improve this?

yes the full size messenger seems to do all three almost instantly the text pictures and messages while trying to fix it i found out that the normal text messages are stuck to sent almost as long as the picture and voice take. the problem is i cant use the full size messenger on either device its ironic that its instantaneous as it freezes up badly sometimes not even wanting to load when opening it.

If there isn't a marked improvement using WIFI vs over the air then something is amiss. You might try uninstalling your messenger app and installing it again.. or perhaps disabling it and using another messenger app. Fifteen seconds is a long time to load a normal MMS.

i'm not sure of any others i'd feel relatively safe using but the official ones. and i've trie uninstalling and reinstalling it. having the preloaded messenger disabled , having only the lite messenger and no facebook and having both messengers and seeing if it'd let lite work properly to no avail. i've ran out of ideas to get it to work its wait up to a minute for text and up to 20 for pictures or voice or use a laggy freezing frustration

Facebook has always screwed up devices on practically every update that comes out at some point. Frankly I'm anti Facebook and especially with its apps on my device. But if I did use Facebook I would only use it through my browser on my device and set up a notification through my browser settings but never install Facebook apps. Even if it came pre-installed on the device disable it and login from your browser. And then you wouldn't have to deal with all the rhetoric that comes with Facebook apps.
