Facebook Notifications

I have a Samsung Galaxy s3 with AT&T as the carrier. I get Facebook notifications on my calendar for birthdays of my Facebook friends. However, it downloads the birthday notification 7 or 8 times, and I can't delete any just to get it down to one. I don't know if this is a Facebook or Android issue.
 
I would suggest checking the settings inside of the calendar, as there are no settings natively inside the Facebook app dealing with the calendar.

In order to sync Facebook to the calendar, inside Settings > Accounts and Sync the Facebook account should be listed there. There is a box that says "Sync Contacts". Checking this box syncs the birthdays to the Calendar. When you go in to the Calendar app, press menu, and select Settings. You should see the Facebook account that is synced, and if you tap it you should be able to edit the settings for how it is synced. Playing around with these settings should fix your problem.
