Facebook problems!

I am having issues with the Facebook app when it comes to Notifications. It always gives me a weird Parse error. For about the past month now. So it makes the app almost useless if I can not view my notifications at all. I did not update as I do not like it where it takes you to the actual website instead of running everything from the app.

Tried uninstalling and reinstalling and no luck.

Bottom line... the android facebook app is junk. I havent used it since I had a hero and probably never will unless they bring it up to par with the iphone version. I think ours is the only version that doesnt get live notifications.

Well it seemed it just happened about a month ago. It used to work just fine. I had to refresh to see the notifications but at least I got them. Now I can't get them at all anymore. Nothing but errors.

mines wont sync at all. the app is junk, it needs better coding.

Hi Barats, I finally solved the problem on my HTC Hero (I had last successfully received notifications on 8/27). There is an updated app, even though it doesn't show up in the list of updates when you are using Market. To find, search the Market for "Facebook" and install the "Facebook for Android" app. It's a new version with a new interface, and best of all, notifications are working again!

What do you mean "working again"? Are you saying they worked before?

I've never received an notification for a wall post or comment, which is 80% of my FB activity.
