Facebook push notifications will not work.

I'm using a Galaxy S7 with android 7.0 installed. Push notifications for Facebook app stopped working . All other apps and their push notifications work fine. I have checked app setting, phone settings, website settings, with no luck. Through some searching I have a tried checking battery optimizer, background data, cleared all app data, and reinstalled app. My wife has the same phone with no issues. I have also cleared apps from Facebook settings and tried turning off platform as suggested by other posts. Does anyone have any idea how to fox this?
 
There are two settings in particular you should look at. First the setting within the app. I know it's buried pretty deep. The other would be in phone settings>apps>facebook>notifications and see if you have blocked them.

Both have been checked numerous times , thank you though.
 
Have you tried clearing both the data and cache for the Facebook app and then uninstalling and reinstalling the app? That should give you a fresh start.
