Facebook push notifications

Please can one of you help.

Currently i use facebook on BB, Ipad3 and S3

push notifications work perfectly on bb and ipad 3 but not the S3, please can some one explain a way round this? the facebook notifications are instant when i am connected to wifi but not when i am using the mobile network.

i have seen a youtube clip of a way round this via logging on a BB using your facebook account and enabling notifications, i have tried this numerous times and no such luck.

there must be a way to get notifications pushed to my handset?

i dont want to be notified via email or sms as it's not really ideal

Have you checked the notification settings in the app itself? Make sure they're all turned on?

The FB app for Androids has always been a bit bad rubbish, pretty sure they took the one for iPhone (which works perfectly) and just messed with the code to get it to work on Androids and then just forgot about it.
