Facebook syncing contacts question

i am thinking of purchasing a droid. my friend and a palm pre plus and when he synced his contact list from facebook all of his facebook contacts appeared on his contact list. does that happen on the droid or is there an option where you can only sync the contacts you already have on your phone?

After you sign into facebook the first time you open the app you can check to sync information from all your friends or just contacts that exist on your phone. Keep in mind though, if there are any spelling errors on your phone contacts it will not sync that person if you check the sync contacts only box.
