Help Facebook & What's app Problem - on Sony V

I have Sony Xperia V (no other place to put it), and am having two weird problems with FACEBOOK and WHAT"S APP.

1. Facebook.. Sometimes, I'll be on someone's page. I'll go do something else (another app) and come back to FB. I press "news feed" button and it wont take me there, it doesnt do anything. I will have to press "MY PAGE" and go to my page , then click NEWS FEED to go to the newsfeed page. WHY?

2. Similar problem with WHATS APP. I"ll be in a sub menu, likle create message, or an individual chat, and I'll press "BACK" button, and instead of taking me to the what's app HOMESCREEN, it literally goes "BACK"- as in back OUT of the app. WHY?

In regards to the Facebook problem: Main Menu > Settings > Apps > All > Facebook > Uninstall updates. You can reinstall them after but this will generally resolve this.

For the Whatsapp issue this is certainly not normal (just tested on an Xperia Z) so I would advise completely uninstalling this app and redownloading it from the Playstore.
