You will most likely have to do it in Fastboot, I would post in your device forum and see what they say there first, Huawei Ascend

Hello and welcome aboard. Holding down the power + volume down buttons should give you options to reset the device.

And as DonB suggested, checking inside your device's support forum would be best place to get info and tips on your device.
