Help Factory Reset Problems

So I did a hard reset on my Garminfone by holding left dpad and power button and after that a warning screen pops up telling me to close the battery cover which I did and restart the phone which I did many times but the same warning keeps popping up. What should I do? I resetted it multiple times now.

I know this is no solution at all, but what does T-Mobile technical support say? (Unfortunately, as there is no longer a Garmin-Asus partnership, that is your only option.)
