Help Factory Reset?

Sparow79

Newbie
Ok guys, this is a noob question, sorry. I am running LP 5.1.1 and rooted. I attempted custom recovery but didn't read fully and messed up the stock recovery in addition to being unsuccessful with TWRP. So I have no stock recovery. My question is this: Can I factory reset this, and NOT brick my phone? I realize I'd most likely need to re-root. That's no issue. But with no stock recovery, I was uncertain. Factory Reset and Recovery are two different things?

Which model? I believe Sprint/VM/Boost and I'd be willing to bet on it that Cricket Mobile (Since it's AT&T and they're Notorious for locking their bootloaders) also has a locked bootloader...

So you'd be S.O.L. if ya did a factory reset with stock recovery missing, remember before flashing TWRP in Flashify you need to enable developer options and tick Enable OEM Unlock in order to successfully get TWRP working.

I think there's some stock recoveries floating in this "LG G Stylo" forum somewhere.

That option does nothing. Its cosmetic. I did this the very first time i attempted this. OK have VM yes. I sadly wasn't careful with the stock recov. I made and now i have none. Would you be able to point me in the right direction for those recoveries? I've looked but failed to find one that would work for me.

Really appreciate it I'll take a look. Difference? Probably nothing but like everyone else with no money to spare, i really can't afford to be wrong about it lol.

Wasnt there an old post about, if you accepted the OTA Lollipop 5.1.1 update, it locked the bootloader?
Its been awhile

I believe since they're both LS770's it would work as expected, only difference is the carrier...

Someone correct me on this if I'm wrong, as I use the metroPCS version of the phone and wouldn't really know.
