Failed in rooting and the screen wont start now!!!!help!!!!

so i was trying to root my samsung galaxy star pro which my dad gave me yesterday as he bought himself a new phone so i was trying to root this phone with odin as we all know but suddenly idk what happend i think the usb cable was bit loose and it got disconnected while the process was going on in odin and then it said failed and since then the phone is not showing any respone , when i power it on , the sound of the samsung logo comes which i m not able to see too. i cant see anything on the phone when i plug it in my laptop with a usb the laptop detects the phone and when i open the the folder of my phone in the there is not even a single file or folder present in it . please help me :( im really worried about this thing.

Could be a lot of trouble here, Amanrox. Welcome to Android Forums, by the way!

Odin is not used to root. It's used to flash the phone back to stock, including the bootloader. If the bootloader was somehow half-written when the cable disconnected, the phone likely is now in a state that it doesn't know to connect and download anything. If you can, try to get back to download mode by pressing Volume down, home and power at the same time. WHen prompted, press Volume up.

Make SURE your cable is secure... if download mode comes up, you might be able to Odin the stock file and restore it to factory state. Then proceed to root from there using your root tool of choice.

If you can't access download mode because the bootloader is corrupted, then I don't know what to tell you. This is a worst-case scenario, and your only real option may be another phone. I know that's not what you want to hear, but that's what I have for you based on the information you've provided. Good luck.
