Failed to add Bookmark

I have just purchased a Samsung Galaxy Tab A6 which I have been using happily for a few weeks.

Using Chrome, I have been adding Bookmarks successfully but since yesterday I repeatedly get the message "Failed to add Bookmark".

Can you help please? Words of one syllable would be appreciated by this ageing non-techie. Many thanks

One fact which may be relevant. When I use the Android Internet browser, Bookmarks are added without any problem.

Clear your History and try again.

Thanks for reply but I have deleted all History and problem persists.
