Help Failed to upgrade firmware ("unknown error")

After first seeing that an upgrade was available, I tried to do the upgrade via WiFi and got a message that it failed due to server connection. I thought this was odd since my husband who has the same phone was able to successfully do the upgrade over WiFi.

So, I downloaded Kies and hooked up the phone via USB to my computer. This time, I get a different message: "Failed to run firmware upgrade. Unknown error occurred." I've tried over and over, and I keep getting the same message.

Any ideas? The only differences between my phone and my husbands is that mine is the international version, and his was purchased in the US. Both are unlocked. I use Nova Prime on mine, he does not have that. Could either of these be the culprit? Thanks in advance

Could it be you are attempting to install a different version on your phone? Each phone has it's own rom image.

In other words a phone bought in Germany is different than one bought in Japan etc. they make an upgrade that unique to each version of the phone. I think if you attempted to install the wrong image it would fail.

In laments terms, what do you mean by install the wrong image? There is only one option - I am not being prompted to choose which version to upgrade to.
