Fake GPS

Hello,
I'm trying to change my current location on my phone. I turned on mock locations, I downloaded a "Fake GPS" app, but it still isn't working, the phone still says I'm at my home. However, I don't really know what I'm doing. For instance, I have no idea whether or not I should turn my phone's GPS on. I tried both on and off, it didn't work either way. Anyone know what I'm doing wrong? Thanks.

the gps device on your phone is a receiver. it doesn't give out any signal. only your data card or wifi sends out location information. i don't get what your objective is. if you don't want anyone to know where you are, turn off your data.

the gps receiver will find you, once you enable it. it--in and of itself--does not give out that information.

Sorry, I guess I could of been a bit more clear. The Pittsburgh Penguins are doing a thing where they give out codes at some of their events, you type the codes into their app, and they mail you free things. Some of the codes require you to be on location, and I am not. I'm trying to trick the app into thinking that my phone is on location.
