False new mail indication on 2nd POP3 account

I recently set up a second POP3 account and have shortcuts to both on my home screen. The second one perpetually shows 1 new message, though I've checked every folder and rebooted the phone. Ideas?

I removed and replaced the shortcut and that seems to have solved it.
