Do you have a G1 or a MyTouch phone and feel like you've been left behind by all the more modern phones like the Droids and the EVO 4G? Well, feel sorry no more! Your phone may not be able to handle a full-blown HTC Sense UI, but it can sure have the gorgeous HTC Sense clock/weather widget adorning the home page. Download and install Fancy Widget (from the Android Marketplace) and pretend that your phone is just as fancy as the widget!
Fancy Widget is not only a looker, it is also functional as it shows you the time (big enough for you to see from afar or even if you are slightly visually impaired) and the weather forecast data for your area just below the clock (with beautiful weather graphics to match). If you want more weather details, just tap on the weather portion of the app to see the extended forecast, and tap on any day's extended forecast to open up weather.com in your web browser.
There are also settings you can tweak for tapping on the clock itself. The app will let you show the configurations screen or launch an application of your own choosing. You can also select between Fahrenheit and Celsius, or 12 hour and 24 hour time, adjust the refresh settings, or donate to the developer to show your support and appreciation for their hard work.
