fast charger question

Is the Fast charger that comes with the note 5 only item that generated the speed or does the usb cable that comes with it play a part in it. I want to know because if I need to replace the cable would I need to get a special cable or will any one do?

If you have a high quality charging cable, it does not matter what cable you use.

But, you must have a 2.1 amp or better charging source, the OEM wall adapter, etc...

I have a six foot long heavy duty USB cord with a heavy cloth woven cover on it.
I found it at an O'Reilly's Auto Store of all places.

It works great!!! and it will survive the rigors of being thrown around in a truck.

Just remember when using long cables about attenuation. 6 feet is probably fine but a really long cable will lose a lot of the output power.
