So i got a fast charging adaptor for my m8 but it isnt fast charging. Do I need to download an app or do something to enable this?

I always thought that the Android Kernel was responsible for how fast/slow the charging is. An app won't help.

The problem would be if one of the many counterfeit rapid chargers were purchased or if there's something really odd about the revision - otherwise the One M8 was designed from the start to support it.
