Help Faulty home button

I'm used to note 4. S3 s6 and n7 now i have an s7e and the home button doesn't work unless i press it dead centre. It will click every time but won't always register if pressed slightly off centre. This a normal thing? I only got it from cpw yesterday.

Hi,

I use the s7 edge and no it's not normal.

I can press mine on tbe edge and it responds.

Try soft reboot by turning it off and on.

If no joy then due to yiu only having it a couple of days get it swapped out.

Don't let Cpw staff give you any excuses.

From what you've described there's a chance the metal contacts inside the button itself just need cleaning. If you pick up a small aerosol can of electrical contact cleaner, available in most computer retail and a lot of general hardware stores all you need is a small squirt (less is better than more).
But taking into consideration you've only had that phone for a day I'd just get it take it back and request for a replacement.
