So I'm hoping I am reaching the end of my hassles with the N7.
Had my 3rd unit for 3 weeks and it has remained perfect throughout (including the screen).
It's been a month since I put through the RMA, the returns bag and label finally came through at the weekend and the faulty device was collected today.
So I'm just wondering what happens now? Will I hear from Google as to whether they consider it a manufacturing fault? (lifted/moving screen and faulty gyro, I even went as far as creating a document describing the faults to make it clear and put it into the bag with the N7).
To date there is still nothing on the account since I ordered the RMA. It was never updated to say it has shipped or anything and still just says "Your order has been sent to Google...".
Also, my credit card never had the authorization placed on it.
So now I'm wondering whether I will be left dangling even longer without knowing what's happening?
When I phoned through about the fault with the gyro/accelerometer, the woman on the phone didn't seem to have any idea what I was talking about so there is the concern they might not inspect for it and say nothing is wrong with it (not being a visible fault).
I just want this whole mess done with and know my credit card is safe.
