Help Faulty on arrival

This week I was the proud new owner of a S6. Which for an hour was the best smartphone I have ever owned, my last phone was an apple iPhone 5s. Unfortunately the following chain of events occurred and I had to send back to retailer replacement, which is going to take over a week....

This is what happened. Any ideas what caused this?

Setup phone
Listened to some Music
After 30 minutes of use attempted to play a You Tube Video
Phone crashed and restarted
On it's reboot it threw an error message saying partition corrupted and system needed to be reset
I selected the reset button - there was no other option
Then it displayed the Android character and displayed erasing....
It then restarted itself again
And now it does not get past the Samsung Logo page
Am not able to turn off/on with power button

Anyone else had this issue?

You got a duff. It does happen occasionally.

I would take back to the store you got it from asap,As I found out AT&T only has a 14 day return/exchange policy.

Thanks Guys! I have already sent back to the retailer - good to have confirmation that it was "a duff" and I had taken the right course of action.

Hope next when I get the replacement it's not "a duff!"
