Help Faulty san fransisco when switching on

pippieg

Lurker
I have an orange san fransisco phone which i bought in may 2011. I had it unlocked but have not had any of the orange apps/software removed and have not altered anything other than having installed a few apps.

The phone seems to have a fault that only occurs when the battery dies completely and the phone powers itself off. I have charged it up and when i switch it on it displays the green android icon then the orange icon then does nothing. It wont switch off again unless i remove the battery.

The first time it did this, i left it a few days and tried it and it eventually switched on as normal. This time it seems completely frozen and has been like this for a week.

It has only done this when the battery has completely died and powered down. When the battery is just low it has charged normally and continued to work fine.

Any help to fix this would be much appreciated as its not under warranty since i have unlocked it. Is it a hardware/software fault and is there anything i can do about it? Thanks
