Favorite Configurations (Apps/Media Server/etc)

A while ago I made a suggestion for the following, and I was wondering if there were any thoughts on the subject. I didn't follow the normal suggestion route (I didn't know of it), but had a wonderful chat with EarlyMon and he mentioned something about it being looked into.

Here's the official suggestion:

What I'm routinely looking for is a list of what the seasoned Android users have done to their phones and computer systems (for their phones):
For all of the following, assume there is a "explanation why" as well as a list of the rejected options and why not use them (JUST as valuable!).

• Launcher
• Notifier
• Things-to-do notes
• Music Player
• Media Server (computer side, cloud, etc.)
• Photo organizer
• Source for applications/ringtones/etc
• Favorite eReader App (Kindle, etc.)
• Other (apps for kids, adults, etc.)
• Other Configuration Do's and Don'ts
• Other STRONG learned opinions.

There are multiple ways I can imagine this.

• A tightly regulated sticky, edited by moderators
• A homegrown field entering PHP page (etc.)
• A wide open forum dedicated to this <----I don't suggest this.
• (whatever)

Is this in the works? Or discarded as an idea in the past?
