Favorite Contacts and Facebook

Hi GUys

BEfore i updated to 2.2 i used to get a green number next to a contact on the fav contacts widget whenever one of them updated their status.

Ie if my GF posted something on her wall her name woudl get a green 1 next to her name on the widget.
Ever since i updated this doesnt happen anymore. Has this been removed from 2.2, Is anyone else having this problem?

I have checked all the settings and nothings changed.

Please help as i found this very useful

I've read somewhere that this doesn't seem to be a feature any more... Can't remember whether it was here or Twitter or somewhere else...

I don't use the favourite widget any more anyway... I use individual contact shortcuts, to direct dial, you can fit more on the screen that way, and organise them as you want, as opposed to the Favourites widget that shuffles them annoyingly...
 
Does using the shortcuts show facebook updates like the widget used too?
Dont know why they would change this I thought it was quite useful.
 
Its really annoying me. I have my facebook notifactions switched on and a specific tune to play but even this doesnt work. I have no idea when i have been poked lol
 
Are the notifications turned on in the Facebook app? I think they still work for me... I prefer to just check manually though, or get texts for a few select people lol...
 
Yeah they're turned on. I have it setup the same as my twitter account and that works fine. To be honest if i got it to work it would prob p~@S me off but you buy a phone and you expect the functions to work lol.
Never mind. I tried contacting HTC who say they will contact facebook and work on it.
Yeah right.
