Feedback for a free game wanted - "Juggler"!

Emiam

Newbie
I am looking for opinions and suggestions for improvements to my game "Juggler". Anything you would like to change? Do you think it's fun to play? Too hard? Too easy? Please give me some feedback :). Game is titled "Juggler" and is out on android market for FREE.

Game description:

The principle is simple: If you have more balls than hands, you're in trouble. To become a good Juggler, a lot of skill is required.

Juggler features:
-25 UNIQUE LEVELS!
-COMPETE AGAINST JUGGLERS ALL OVER THE WORLD WITH HIGHSCORE MODE!
-GET INSANE COMBOS!
-JUGGLE WITH 3, 5, 7 OR 9 BALLS AT ONCE!

so it has potential to be very addictive how ever at times the ball will not leave the hand at the proper angle... maybe a directional swipe for both hands for the direction. still I say even without change its cool good job

I think the game has potential. Things I liked:

Good intro screen.
Good background graphics in the street (little girl picking her nose! Ha!)
Timing is challenging, but it gets pretty easy after you get it down.

I haven't played it all the way through yet, but I'll pick this up again as I get more time. Nice work.

undercoverpaco: That's a good idea, never thought about directional swipes! Will give it some thought.

c0ach: As you mentioned, timing is challenging. A lot of the comments on android market are about the game being too difficult. I'm thinking about making the game easier but then again I am afraid it will get too easy =/.

Everyone: My main concern is that the game is too hard. What do you think? Is it too hard? Based on android market comments, it seems like players have very little patience.

Hi Emiam!!

After a fast look, I agree that your game has potential, but it may result very hard for average players...

I'll leave you my feedback in a couple days ;)

I really like this - I taught myself to juggle (badly!!) and do it for relaxation - and this is almost as good (focusses your mind away from distractions!!)

You might want to consider changing the color of the hands on early levels to teach people when to throw (like the shotgauges you get in Golf games?) and I assume it's deliberate that you can throw balls straight into your other hands (again could use clarification on the early levels)??

I find myself drawn back to it tho - it's very original and nicely executed...

One possible technical issue - a lot of phones have issues with reading multitouch on the same axis - add this to the level of sensitivity in some screens and some users may find the controls a bit innaccurate (or at least that's what they'll say!!) :)

The solution is to put the buttons/thumbsticks on opposite corners rather than the same side of the screen.

The AndEngine demo APP can test your multitouch screen for this issue too.

Another solution is to throttle the speed of touches (e.g. ignore multiple touches of the same button in the space of a few 100ths of a second) but you'll be less prone to this than - say - a twin stick shooter...

Good job tho!

Every time I post an update I always say to myself "this is the last thing, now it's finished". But after a few weeks I start improving something and end up spending 16 hours of coding seven days straight. So, here it is again: The final version, LOT'S of new stuff. Feel free to post comments about the game here =)
