Help Few Questions about Spica

player101

Lurker
I have been reading these forums for a while now, just got an account so I could pick your minds about Spica. Thanks in advance.

1. Does it have stereo speakers, and how is the quality of loudspeaker in general?

2. How big of a problem is lack of proximity sensor?

3. Does it feature a scratch-resistant screen?

Thanks again!

Cheers!

1. The phone itself has only one loudspeaker located on the back of the phone at the bottom. However a pair of quality samsung headphones are included in the box

2. Proximity sensor - There's been a couple of times I've been talking on the phone and it brings the dialpad up and starts hitting out numbers but it doesn't really bother me at all.

3. The screen is not scratch resistant but it's in my pocket with keys sometimes (yes, not the right thing to do at all!) and I've yet to see a scratch - it's a pretty tough phone! You can always get cheap screen protectors for it.

HTH :)

1. The phone has one loudspeaker at the back and is fairly good aslong as it's not covered by anything.

2. Have probably been on the phone for an hour or so since I've had the phone and have had no issues without it.

3. Can't comment, only had phone for a week.

I had some other questions when I was getting this phone you can see my thread here: http://androidforums.com/samsung-galaxy-lite/62149-new-have-some-questions.html

The phone was my first Android I have used. Coming from a BlackBerry the only thing I am missing is the keyboard. The phone is missing multitouch for now at least, battery is unimpressive but pretty much all smart phone's batteries are, and my phone is running the old 1.5 OS so can't comment on anything about the new OS.

geeshock & rainor94: Thanks :-)

The "New and Have Questions" thread helped out a great deal. I've read these forums and reviews, but felt these are some things that were not clearly addressed. If you don't mind, I would like to know your opinion on responsiveness of the touch screen. The popular opinion seems to favor the screen, but there are also quite a few people who find it a bit unresponsive. I would just like to know your personal thoughts on this...

Thanks again.

I still have the screen thing on the phone which it shipped with so I am not sure how it will be when I get a screen protector but with it on I think it's pretty responsive as long as your hands are not dry. I have no issues with the screen. So far I have had no issues with the phone especially once I upgraded to 2.1. (Graphics are A LOT better for 2.1 so if you want to play games defiantly recommend upgrading the OS)
