File-based encryption Android 7.0 or newer

Hello everyone,

my question is whether the file-based encryption from version 7.0 or newer safe is ? When I make a factory-reset of the smartphone, are all the keys that I used for the encryption of the files deleted?

Yes, new keys will be generated with every factory reset. For that reason, it's very important to have unencrypted backups of SD cards when you factory reset or you may end up with files you won't be able to read.
