File Manager

It's not the file manager that has lots of folders, it's the file system.

Easiest way to identify what is important is from the folder name. That will often give a clue as to the content (Music, Movies, DCIM is a common name for a photo folder - think Digital Camera IMages) or the app that has created the folder & is storing data there. Some can be a bit more obscure (e.g. if an app uses the developer name rather than the app name), and a generic name like "Download" can mean that the content could be almost anything.

I'd not recommend removing stuff just because you don't know what it's for. That may sound too obvious to need saying, but you'd be surprised how many people do think "I don't recognise this so I will assume it's not important" and then come looking for help after they've deleted it.
